| Abstract: |
| Al2O3 was manufactured in the solution precipited titanium from high titania slag: including of aluminum precipitation, alkali-soluble, carbonation, calcination. The optimum operating conditions through the single factor experiments were obtained. Aluminium precipitation: the optimum operating conditions were obtained as reaction temperature of 60℃, precipitation pH of 6 and reaction time of 20min. The aluminium precipitation rate was about 99% under the optimum conditions; Alkali leaching: the optimum conditions of alkali leaching of aluminium hydroxide were obtained as reaction temperature of 70℃, mass ratio of aluminium hydroxide to alkali of 1:4, reaction time of 30min. The leaching rate of aluminium hydroxide was about 100% under the conditions; carbonation: the optimum operating conditions on the carbonation were obtained as CO2 gas flow rate 30~40ml?min-1 under normal atmospheric pressure and temperature, the pH end point for carbonation was 8. The aluminium reaction rate was 98%; calcination: aluminum hydroxide was calcined at 1200 ℃ for 2h and α-Al2O3 was prepared. |
