| Abstract: |
| The influence of feed particle size distribution on sizing of the SAG mill and the ball mill for a grinding circuit treating an iron ore with a throughput capacity of 5.5 Mt/a was studied by process simulation on JKSimMet platform. It was shown that reducing the feed particle size can significantly reduce the sizes of the mills as well as the driving powers required, therefore reducing investment and operating costs for the grinding circuit. |
