Abstract:
With a high selectivity and a moderate collecting ability, new ester collectors with high efficiency and low poison are more suitable for the flotation of minerals which are of low grade, disseminated fine and tough to deal with. Guided by the theory of molecular structure design, Materials studio software is used to stimulate the minimum interaction energy configuration between reagent and the mineral surface, and subsequently the interaction energy is calculated. The structure of collectors are devised from the perspective of the interaction energy difference between reagent and the mineral surface and finally the targeted reagent-BK-300 was finally composed and its flotation characterize was tested and demonstrated by trial.
