| Abstract: |
| A test of pelletizing- chloride volatilizing was performed on calcine of refractory gold ore and factors effecting gold volatilization rate and pellet strength were investigated. Results indicated that under optimum conditions as: roasting temperature of 1150℃, roasting time of 1h, CaCl2 addition rate of 5%, volatilization rate of gold and silver can reach around 98% and 60% respectively while iron and gangue components of SiO2, Al2O3,CaO and MgO basically remain in fired pellet. Based on the result, a new process of recovering gold from calcine of refractory gold ore by chloride volatilization was developed. |
