Abstract:
      As the specific power consumption is a key technical and economical indicator to determine the production cost, this paper introduces some productive practices on how to lower specific power consumption of electrolytic copper in the electrolytic workshop of Jinchang Smelter, such as improving current efficiency, lowering cell voltage and optimizing flow sheet. The average value of specific power consumption has been decreased from 335.7Kwh/t in 2004~2014 to 321.4Kwh/t in 2015.
