Abstract:
      Nozzle is one of the key component of ore sorter’s jet separation system, having important influence on ore jet separation. In this paper Conical and conical straight nozzle modeling are established and simulated, the results show that there are few difference of jet scope of them, but jet speed of conical nozzle are higher than straight cone nozzle’s, so conical nozzle have more advantages than conical straight nozzle in ore jet separation. The result also is verified by experiments. Moreover, outlet radius and convergence angle of conical nozzle are also simulated, the results show that with the increase of outlet radius, top speed of jet flow field decreases, but the speed attenuation will slow down, and jet scope is extended;Also convergence angle’s increase will lead to reduction of jet velocity of the flow field.
