Abstract:
      Field experiments show that it has an important effect on temperature uniformity of the slab that the width and depth of the gap between two pads on ISF(Induction Slab Furnace) hearth. And the width and depth are decided by the mechanical dimensions of the turn-arm. By optimizing the mechanical dimensions of ISF turn arm, it can reduce the width an depth of the gap between two pads. And the strength and security are checked by the finite element analysis on UG platform. The field results show that temperature uniformity on the slab has some improvement.
