| Abstract: |
| After carbon thermoreduction, ferrum in ilmenite was reducd to elemental Fe, which was inbuilt in the reduzate. It made an enough contact of Fe and TiO2, which improved the conductivity of cathode. On the analysis of metallurgical microscope photographs, the reduced ilmenite cathode was consisted of alloy phase, carbon phase and un-reduced TiO2 phase mixed with Fe. When the reduction temperature is 873、973、1073、1173 and 1273 K respectively, the weightlessness ratio 20.57%、21.43%、21.84%、22.04% and 23.07%, which increased as temperature increased. Increasing of carbon thermoreduction temperature strengthens diffraction peak of Fe. |
