Abstract:
The large porphyry copper mine is a kind of low grade ore of veinlet-disseminated type in Inner Mongolia. The raw ore contains 0.35% of copper and 0.02% of molybdenum in which the valuable minerals are mainly chalcopyrite, molybdenite and chalcocite, and the quartz, sericite and feldspar are the dominating gangue minerals. The small trial research and industrial test show that the fine disseminated and smaller exposed surface of molybdenum minerals can be mineralization under the action of collector JJ-4# during the bulk flotation stage of copper and molybdenum. It can be said that the collector has good mineralization performance, strong collecting ability and lasting effect time. Excellent beneficiation indexes has also been achieved in industrial production. The recoveries of copper and molybdenum have increased from 86.59% and 76.29% to 88.08% and 80.94% during mixed flotation, respectively. Meanwhile, the grade of bulk concentrate of copper and molybdenum is not affected. The beneficiation has an ideal effect, which makes the experimental study has a guiding significance of practice for the production of similar mine.
