| Abstract: |
| Temperature rising behavior of molybdenite was investigated in fields of microwave. The effect of materials thickness, materials quality and microwave power on temperature were discussed. The results showed that molybdenite had good microwave absorption properties, the heating process can be divided into three phases. Temperature rising of molybdenite in the microwave field was found in a positive relationship with microwave power, while negative with both material thickness and material mass within the experimental ranges. In 0.5kW microwave power, the temperature of molybdenite specimen with the quality of130g can rise from room temperature up to 800℃ until 18 min. The roasting product was examined by X-ray Diffraction and Scanning Electron Microscope, which indicates that good performance MOO3 was produced in the experiment. It is feasible to prepare high-purity MOO3 by the oxidation roasting for molybdenite using microwave energy. |
