| Abstract: |
| Process mineralogy study was carried out on a copper ore in Africa, basis on research of the mineral composition, dissemination characteristics of important minerals,as well as copper occurrence state ,the results indicates that the copper mainly existed in chalcopyrite and covellite, next it occurs in malachite, while a few copper exists in the limonite in the form of adsorption , which is difficult to be recovered. Meanwhile, the ore contain quite a lot of layer silicates such as chlorite, muscovite, kaolinite. These minerals will deteriorate the floatation effect, So it is suggested to prevent the over grinding of ores, and these minerals should be inhibited in the course of the mineral processing process. |
