Abstract:
      zinc impurities in bauxite will directly affect the product purity and production targets of alumina. Zinc impurities mainly exist in the form ZnO22- in Bayer production system. The zinc hydroxide amphoteric substances. Therefore, zinc in the Bayer process production system mainly in the form of ZnO22-deposit, coupled with zinc and aluminum in the caustic liquid have very similar chemical behavior, this is the zinc removal in Bayer liquor is extremely difficult. The main method of removal zinc of domestic and foreign is add sulfide especially adding high sulfur bauxite ore to removal zinc and this approach has become a good way to removal of zinc in Bayer.
