Abstract:
MIBC and pine oil, two different nonpolar base structure of alcohols frother were used to recycle valuable metals copper in a Jiangxi copper ore. By flotation test and bubble time-volume test, we determined how the grade of copper , recovery rate and bubble volume changes with time, and we studied the effect of alcohols frother on the recovery of copper from fine tailings and mechanism. The result showed that MIBC had a stronger foaming ability and increases the collision probability of bubble and target minerals. When the dosage of MIBC was 30g/t, the recovery rate of copper could reach 30.19%. At the same concentration, MIBC produced a bigger volume bubble, increased the collision probability of bubble and gangue minerals, therefore concentrate grade is low.
