Abstract:
The Luming molybdenum ore is a big porphyry copper molybdenum deposits. For comprehensive exploitation and utilization of the copper, molybdenum, sulfur resources of this copper molybdenum deposits,Contents of chemical elements, compositions of mineral and disseminations on copper-molybdenum ore sample in Luming were investigated by chemical analysis, microscopic observation, scanning electron microscope(SEM)and electron probe micro analysis(EPMA). It is indicated by mineralogy of the Luming molybdenum ore that molybdenum ore containing 0.108% Mo and 0.021% Cu, the distribution and occurrence of molybdenum in the ore is simple, and 96.74% of the molybdenum is predominantly as molybdenite and the mineral dissemination particle sizes is relatively coarse, the molybdenite and other sulphide ores are not closely symbiotic; Therefore, through the mineral flotation can obtain ideal molybdenum recovery index. Meanwhile the state of copper is relatively complex, most of the copper in the ore exists in the form of chalcopyrite, a small number of molybdenite, digenite and covellite secondary sulfide copper mineral form, and the dissemination particle sizes of chalcopyrite in it is so fine that under the coarse grinding conditions ,in which molybdenite can fully mineral liberation, chalcopyrite monomer dissociation is so bad that it will affect the flotation recovery index. As fine mud is easy to come into being, selecting grinding fineness should be appropriate.
