| Abstract: |
| In recent years, due to the rapid development of chlorination of titanium pigment process and welding rod industry, the demand for high-grade synthetic rutile showed rapid growth trend. In this paper, the experiment of microwave roasted Panzhihua titanium slag was investigated, the effect of calcinations temperature on growth rate, titanium dioxide content, sulfur content and carbon content of the titanium slag were studied. The results revealed that the low valence titanium was gradually oxidized to high valence titanium of titanium samples under the condition of microwave roasting. With the increase of calcinations temperature, the oxidation effect was better. Besides, the weight gain of samples increased first and then decreased. Moreover, the grade of titanium dioxide showed a trend of decreasing and then increasing, and the content of sulfur and carbon decreased with the formation of SO2, CO and CO2 from the reaction with oxygen during the calcinations process. |
