Abstract:
It’s a current situation mineral processing enterprises have to face that its profit is getting lower and lower owing to the decreasing grade of the raw ore. So, people have to consider improving economic benefit by reducing its cost. Energy saving and green production in grinding stage is a part that deserves to be studied in a mineral processing plant. Microwave-assisted grinding is a technology that wins good graces of mineral processing research workers at present. According to the process mineralogy characteristic of a low-grade molybdenum ore in ShanXi, this paper investigates on the various changes of the ore after microwave pre-treatment and show the possibility of microwave-assisted grinding treatment. The results show that microwave treatment can generate cracks among minerals to decrease the mineral strength, thus making the minerals easier to grind without changing its floatability.
