Abstract:
The average grade of a gold ore in qinghai province is 2.62 g/t and the arsenic is 0.28 percent. The concentrating mill is used for the flotation process of a coarse, two fine, two sweep. But the recovery rate of the Au is only about 77 percent and the loss is serious. In order to find the reason, and improve the flotation recovery of concentrator, using the process mineralogy research methods such as the chemical multielement analysis, the optical microscope and the scanning electron microscopy (sem), the study on the process mineralogy for flotation tailings of a gold mine concentrator in qinghai province. The results show that the flotation tailings containing gold 0.81 g/t, but the occurrence state of gold is relatively complex, mainly with very small (0.3~3 microns granularity) form wrapped in the gangue minerals such as quartz, calcite, albite, second is the microgranular (size 2~6 microns) wrapped in arsenopyrite and rhombic arsenic in lollingite, also visible gold particles (particle size less than 10 microns) embedded throughout the gangue fissure. The main reason for the low recovery rate is the high proportion of fine particle size and package gold.
