Abstract:
      A mathematical model of volume percentage of mineral(p), statistic(n)and relative error(E) in MLA analysis is proposed by simplified hypothesis.The measurement error can be estimated by given volume percentage of the target minerals, statistical number of particles and confidence level.Four kinds of pure minerals are formulated as the sample with known composition,to verify measurement accuracy of automatic mineralogy system.The experimental results show that when the statistic become larger,the measured values of different minerals get closer to the theoretical value.On the other hand,when the statistic become less,the measured value deviate even furtherSfrom the theoretical value,which lead to increased statistical error.We can achieve to accurately measure process mineralogy parameters of different grade ores by selecting large particles number.
