Abstract:
A research on the process mineralogy of fine particles graphite mine in Sui county of Hubei province had been conducted with the usage of the X-ray fluorescence analysis, carbon phase analysis, polarizing microscope observation and scanning electron microscopy. The result show that the fixed carbon content of the graphite ore is 4.93%, the impurity composition is mainly consist of silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide and iron oxide. The content of graphite in the ore is about 6% . The main gangue minerals contain 45% mica, 30% quartz, 5% feldspar, 5% pyrite and 5% carbonate minerals. The graphite exist with the form of fine-disseminated and non-grain embedded in the ore.The particles which mostly mixed in the mica and quartz are slightly scaly or dusty. The mainly monomer diameter of graphite is less than 5μm.As the refractory ore,it is difficult for the graphite to dissociation.
