Abstract:
In this study, an industrial experiment was carried out on an 8 MVA submerged arc furnace with a waste carbon material instead of partial reducing agents. In order to evaluate the silicon furnace, the combination of the actual production status and the pre-mid and late stage of the experiment are compared by the industry experience. The results show that the power consumption in the middle stage of the test is reduced, and the contents of Al, Ca, Cr and Ni in the product decreased obviously, and the contents of Fe, P and Ti were not improved. In the case of carbon emissions, the CO2 emission is decreased to 0.805t per tone of silicon.
