Abstract:
Due to the extensive application of flotation in mineral processing, foam stability, an important part of flotation, has drawn more and more attention, especially in the flotation of iron ore and zinc oxide ore. For example, cationic flotation has the advantages of simple pharmaceutical system, low cost and low temperature resistance, but at the same time there are foam sticky, difficult to defoaming. In this paper, the progress of research on foam stability at home and abroad in recent years is reviewed. A detailed discussion is made on various testing methods, foam decay mechanism and influencing factors. In addition, the development direction of the research on the stability of water-based foam is prospected, hoping to benefit the domestic and foreign counterparts in the mineral processing industry.
