Abstract:
The acid mixture leaching solution contained potassium and sodium was obtained through acidifing, leaching, precipitating aluminium, and purifing using potash feldspar roasting residue as raw materials. Employing the acid mixture leaching solution, potassium sulfate and sodium sulfate were prepared by fractional crystallization. The influence of stirring intensity and crystallization time on the crystallization rate of K2SO4 and Na2SO4 were investigated. K2SO4 and Na2SO4 were characterized by chemical component analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning election microscope (SEM). The optimum technological conditions, which could guarantee the crystallization rate of K2SO4more than 88.17% was: keeping crystallization temperature as 40°C, stirring intensity 400 r/min for 4 h. The crystallization rate of Na2SO4more than 90.13% under the optimum technological conditions: a crystallization temperature 10°C, a stirring intensity 400 r/min and a crystallization time 8 h. The crystal form of the product were fine, the particles were homogeneous, and chemical component was accorded with the national standard.
