Abstract:
For the phenomenon that the MgO content in the copper concentrate raw materials often encountered in the current smelting process of Isa smelting, the MgO content in the FeO-SiO2-CaO-MgO quaternary slag system is simulated by the synthetic slag experiment and FactSage software. The law of influence is explored. The conclusion is that the content of MgO increases by 0.5% in slag, the melting point of slag increases by 9~10 °C, the content of MgO increases from 1% to 5%, and the liquid area of slag decreases from 10.75%. 8.84%; when the MgO content is 2~2.5%, the optimized slag type: Fe 36~38%; SiO2 28~30%; Fe3O4 8.6%; CaO 3.5~4%.
