| Abstract: |
| The self-aeration flotation cell has been used worldwide which could suck air and simplify the configuration of the flotation system. The relationship between kinetics performances, equipment’s structure parameters and operation parameters are more complicated compared with the air-forced flotation cell. The key kinetics performances of the largest self-aeration flotation cell in China are investigated by hydrodynamics test. It is demonstrated that the immersion depth of the impeller has the most significant influence on the suction flow rate. Next is the speed of the impeller. The insertion depth of the impeller and the speed have great impact on the circulation volume of the flotation cell. And the immersion depth has little influence on the circulation volume. The 320 m3 flotation cell has been applied in the project of duobaoshan copper mine with 55 kt/d. The air dispersion of the flotation cell is very good with air dispersion grade up to 3. The mixing of the particles is also good with no density difference in the whole tank. The mineralization of the flotation is excellent with the bubble load rate exceed 38 g/L. The 320 m3 flotation cell helps to achieve good separation index. |
