Abstract:
The gold grade in oxygen bottom blowing smelting slag of a copper smelter is 0.11g/t, and the gold loss in slag is more. Flotation dilution method is used to recover gold and silver from smelting slag. The recovery rate of gold and silver is 57.08% and 65.23%, respectively. The recovery rate is low. In this paper, the morphology of main components in bottom-blown copper smelting slag was investigated by scanning electron microscopy. It was determined that the main mineral components of smelting slag were matte, magnetite, iron olivine and vitreous phase. The occurrence state of gold and silver in smelting slag was studied by MLA instrument and selective dissolution method. The results show that the rare metallic silver and copper are closely connected and distributed in cuprous sulphide. The gold encapsulated by sulphide is 64.71%, the gold encapsulated by silicate is 29.41% and the gold exposed is 5.88%. It is difficult to recover about 30% of the gold wrapped in silicate in the slow cooling grinding and flotation process of bottom blowing copper slag, which is the main reason for the low recovery rate of gold in the slag.It is suggested to improve the probability of full contact and collision between smelting slag and mattes in the smelting process, so that the mattes can collect the gold and silver in silicate slag as much as possible, and thus reduce the content of gold and silver in smelting slag. When gold and silver are recovered by grinding float, the fineness of grinding is improved, and the gold particles wrapped by silicate are dissociated.
