| Abstract: |
| It is the purpose of this paper to recover cassiterite by low cost means such as gravity concentration due to the low recovery in the cassiterite flotation. An experimental study on recovery of cassiterite tailings from a concentrating mill in Yunnan Tin Co. Ltd was carried out. After the primary ore of spiral chute passes through one stage of roughing and one stage of cleaning, the tin concentrate with SnO2 grade of 2.56% and SnO2 recovery of 32.40% is obtained. The HVC concentrator was used for the mixture of coarse concentrate and the middling processing, and the grade of the concentration was 5.02%, and the recovery rate was 46.23%. It would be a high grade middlings and had been great improved. The HVC concentrator can effectively recover cassiterite. |
