Abstract:
After sulphurizing and roasting of zinc tailings in a smelter, the zinc content of soot is 15% ~ 20% and indium 0.12% ~ 0.25 %, which have recovery value. The valuable metal elements were recovered by high temperature and low acid (sulfuric acid) leaching process, and elements such as lead, indium and silver were effectively enriched in indium residue. During the leaching process, the solution with acid pH value up to about 3.4 (called pre-neutralization solution) after neutralization by the neutralization agent of oxygen pressure leaching solution was used to slurry the dust. The zinc content of the solution could effectively meet the requirements of the new solution with zinc concentration of 150 ~ 180 g? l-1 required by the electrodeposition process. The leaching rate of zinc can reach 75 % ~ 85 %, and that of indium can exceed 95 %. The utilization value of tailings can be improved and the difficulty of tailings treatment can be reduced to create additional value for enterprises
