| Abstract: |
| With the rapid development of the world economy, the demand for nickel is growing rapidly. Nickel mainly comes from nickel sulfide and laterite. With the decrease of nickel sulfide resources, laterite nickel will become the main source of nickel in the future. Therefore, the research on the efficient development and utilization of laterite nickel ore is a hot spot around the research of nickel resources, which has important practical significance for the actual production and application. This paper briefly introduces the application of nickel, the significance of developing laterite nickel ore, the formation of laterite nickel ore, and enumerates and analyzes various smelting processes, advantages and disadvantages of laterite nickel ore from three categories. At the same time, the new research methods of laterite nickel ore are reviewed, and the new ideas are put forward for the comprehensive utilization of laterite nickel ore with high added value. |
