Abstract:
With the increasing in demand for molybdenum market, molybdenum tailings has been being accumulated year by year. The abandoned molybdenum tailings not only cause potential hidden dangers to the ecological environment, but also severely restrict the economic development of enterprises and society. Since molybdenum tailings contain a large amount of carbonate minerals and silicate minerals and so on, the recovery of non-metallic minerals is an important part of the comprehensive utilization of minerals, which can alleviate the tailings stacking problem. In this paper, the resource characteristics of molybdenum tailings and the production process, research status and progress of comprehensive recovery of non-metallic minerals were reviewed, involving the comprehensive recovery of calcite, dolomite, mica, rutile and other minerals, meanwhile, some problems in the recovery process were discussed, and reasonable suggestions were also put forward.
