Abstract:
To explore the effect of reduction time, reduction temperature, reducing agent ratio, PS plastic replacement reducing agent ratio on the reduction of red mud agglomerates, direct reduction experiments and mineral phase analysis were carried out. The results show that increasing the proportion of reducing agent within a certain range can promote the efficiency of red mud direct reduction iron extraction, but excessive reducing agent will adversely affect the reduction process and deteriorate the reduction product index. Using PS plastic instead of coke powder as a reducing agent can promote the reduction of red mud to increase iron within a certain range, and can improve the distribution of iron crystal grains and crystallization conditions of the product. In addition, it can promote the development of iron crystal grains to large grains, and obtain higher quality reduction products. When the reduction temperature is 1150℃, the reduction time is 30 minutes, the proportion of reducing agent is 20%, and the proportion of PS plastic replacing the reducing agent is 40%, the red mud agglomerates can be optimally recycled.
