Abstract:
Process mineralogy analysis of a complex silver bearing copper sulfide ore, It was found that the valuable elements in the ore were mainly Cu、Ag、S, with contents of 0.81%, 7.03g/t and 4.28%. The main metallic minerals in ores are pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, galena and pyrite. Chalcopyrite is mostly associated with pyrrhotite, galena is mainly associated with chalcopyrite and partly encased in chalcopyrite, and silver minerals are associated with these metallic minerals. More than 88% of the copper ore has a particle size greater than 0.075mm, of which 96.83% copper exists in the form of sulfide ore. Based on this, the ores was used by the technological process of preferential flotation of copper, lead depression and copper flotation and sulphur flotation from tailings. Finally, a total of 2 concentrate products were obtained. In the copper concentrate, the average grades of Cu, Ag and S were 25.24%, 140.06g/t and 34.69% with 92.95%, 60.39% and 24.48% recovery rates. In the sulphur concentrate, the average grades of S were 45.18% with 55.53% recovery rates, and this helped the effective enrichment of all valuable elements in the silver bearing copper sulfide ore.
