Abstract:
The grinding-direct flotation tests of a scrubbing tailings with high silicon, low magnesium and low phosphorus were carried out. The tailings were stockpiled in a mine in Yunnan province. The optimum grinding fineness was determined as -0.074mm that accounted for 92.21%. Dosage of sodium carbonate, sodium silicate and YP6-3 were determined as 2.4 kg/t, 5.6kg/t, 3.6kg/t, respectively. The closed-circuit flotation tests, which consisted of one stage rougher, one stage cleaner and the middlings that are returned to the rougher, were carried out. A concentrate containing 28.53% P2O5 with a yield of 40.44% and a recovery of 68.31% was obtained and the flotation process was very stable. It was promising to achieve secondary utilization of the existing tailings.
