| Abstract: |
| The spent pot lining produced in the aluminum electrolysis production process contains leaching poisons fluoride (calcul ated by F-) and cyanide (calculated by CN-), which pose a huge threat to the environment. This paper proposes high-temperature vacuum treatment of leaching poisons in spent pot lining materials, so that fluoride and cyanide can be decomposed and removed. Based on FactSage"s thermodynamic calculations, through research on the effects of temperature, vacuum and crucible material, it is found that when the vacuum degree is 10Pa and the temperature is 1100oC, the spent pot lining material is roasted in a graphite crucible, and the leaching poison is most effective good. Combined with TG-DSC analysis, in a high-temperature vacuum environment, fluoride decomposes and volatilizes, and cyanide can also decompose into non-toxic substances, so that the treated spent pot lining material is converted from hazardous waste to general solid waste, and the effective separation of its electrolyte and carbonaceous material is realized, which is convenient for comprehensive utilization. |
