Abstract:
The type and content of additives in the process of copper electrolysis deposition determine the quality of cathode copper. In order to obtain the cathode copper with dense crystallization, smooth surface, low impurity content and qualified chemical composition, appropriate additives are usually added in the electrolysis process to improve the quality of cathode copper. In this paper, the influence of different additives on the quality of cathode copper in the process of copper electrolysis refining, electrodeposition of copper and electrolysis of copper foil is summarized. The cathode copper quality can be effectively improved by changing the degree of cathode polarization in the copper electrolysis refining process.Gul gum and thiourea were added into the electrolyte to improve the quality of cathode copper, and cobalt sulfate was added to reduce the anode oxygen evolution potential and increase the corrosion. The addition of polyethylene glycol, glue and sodium polydithiodipropanesulfonate in the electrolysis of copper foil can achieve the purpose of refining the cathode copper grain.
