| Abstract: |
| Iron-vanadium slag is a by-product of zinc hydrometallurgy by hot acid leaching. Iron-vanadium slag has the characteristics of complex composition and high sulfur content, which makes it difficult to be used as the main raw material of bulk building materials. At present, there is no effective resource utilization method. Taking advantage of the characteristics of coarse particle size and stable structure of iron-vanadium slag, a certain iron-vanadium slag in Anhui province is used as the main raw material to prepare baking-free brick. The optimal formula of iron-vanadium slag baking-free brick system with the highest strength of 7d and 28d under the same test conditions is determined by orthogonal test. However, the mixing of iron-vanadium slag leads to the phenomenon of overburdening and pulverization in the curing process of brick blank. In order to prevent the overburdening phenomenon from reducing the strength of baking-free brick, By further improving the test conditions such as molding pressure, water-cement ratio, additive types, etc., the efflorescence of iron-vanadium slag is obviously improved. The 28d compressive strength of the finally prepared unburned brick can reach 23.56MPa, which meets the standard requirements of JC422-2007 Non-sintered Waste Tailings Brick, and provides a theoretical basis for the extensive application of iron-vanadium slag in unburned products. |
