Abstract:
China is rich in tin resources, mainly distributed in 6 provinces and autonomous regions such as Yunnan and Guangxi. In the process of tin mining, a large number of tailings are stored in the tailings pond, which has potential environmental pollution risk. According to incomplete statistical analysis, there are 84 tin mine tailings ponds in China, and the storage capacity of tin tailings is about 320.8803 million cubic meters. In this paper, the main components and properties of tin tailings, wastewater of tin mine tailings pond and surrounding soil are evaluated by sampling standard index method. The results show that the main heavy metal pollution factors of tin mine tailings pond are as, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb. The influence of heavy metal pollution in tin mine tailings pond is analyzed from the aspects of ambient air, water environment and soil environment, and the prevention measures and suggestions are put forward.
