Abstract:
The separation and purification of cobalt and nickel in aqueous solution has always been a difficult problem in the industry.??The traditional solvent extraction method can effectively separate cobalt and nickel. But it has many problems, such as easy emulsification, low separation coefficient and serious pollution.??In this paper, Y-Y type microchannel coupled static mixer was used to enhance the extraction and separation of cobalt and nickel in solution. The effects of microchannel diameter, length, numbers of coupled static mixer and concentration of N235 on the extraction and separation of cobalt and nickel were systematically investigated.??The results show that when the diameter is 3 mm, the length is 3 m, and the number of static mixers is 3, the cobalt extraction rate is 92.56%, and the separation coefficient of cobalt and nickel is up to 69.43.??It is also found that the co-extraction system of N235-P507 can achieve efficient recovery of cobalt without saponification. When the concentration of N235 is 0.8 mol/L, the extraction rate of cobalt can reach 91.56%, and the separation coefficient of cobalt and nickel can reach 75.59.??The results provide a theoretical and scientific basis for further understanding the mass transfer mechanism and dynamic behavior of Y-Y microchannel coupled static mixer.
