Abstract:
Vanadium and nickel can be recycled in steps from containing vanadium Pet Coke by the process, which is “Roasting-Milling-Sulfuric acid curing-Water leaching-Hydrolysis precipitation of vanadium-Neutralization of iron and aluminum-Neutralization of nickel”. The experimental conditions were optimized through the single factor test method. Under the optimized experimental conditions, leaching rates of vanadium and nickel can reach 93.11% and 68.71%, respectively. Then the Ammonium Vanadate (AMV) was prepared from the vanadium precipitation by the process “Alkali leaching- Vanadium precipitation with ammonium salt”. The total recovery of vanadium is 91.2% and the AMV purity is more than 98%. The crude nickel carbonate was obtained from solution after hydrolysis precipitation by two stage neutralization process. The total recovery of nickel is 64.7% and the nickel content in crude nickel carbonate was 19.61%.
