Abstract:
A copper mine concentration plant in Inner Mongolia currently uses a copper rapid flotation+copper sulfur mixed flotation separation process, using copper collector TXCu-2 and sulfur collector TXS-2 lime high alkali process to recover copper and sulfur. The copper concentrate has a copper grade of 20-23% and a copper recovery rate of about 65%; The sulfur grade in the sulfur concentrate is 37-40%, with a sulfur recovery rate of about 72%. The copper and sulfur recovery rates in the concentrator are relatively low. Using BK506 as a substitute for lime as a pyrite inhibitor and BK305 as a copper collector, a low alkalinity copper sulfur separation experiment was conducted under the condition of a slurry pH of 9.9 (the original high alkali process slurry pH was 12), and good indicators were achieved. The closed circuit test indicators for low alkali process are: copper concentrate grade 22.59%, recovery rate 84.17%, sulfur concentrate grade 41.03%, recovery rate 80.78%; The closed circuit test indicators of the high alkali process are: copper concentrate grade 22.26%, recovery rate 83.26%, sulfur concentrate grade 40.71%, recovery rate 77.82%. The low alkali process indicators are superior to the high alkali process indicators, and the copper concentrate recovery rate increases by 0.91 percentage points; The recovery rate of sulfur concentrate increased by 2.96 percentage points. At the same time, the amount of lime was reduced and the sulfuric acid activation operation before sulfur flotation was cancelled, which has a good industrial application prospect.
