Abstract:
In this paper, a refractory antimony ore in Guizhou province was taken as the research object. The mineralogy of the ore was studied by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis and electron microprobe analysis. The results showed that the Sb content in the raw ore was 1.21 %, and the antimony-bearing minerals were valentinite, tripuhyite and stibnite. Gangue were quartz, fluorite and mica. A classification-gravity separation method was adopted to treat the ore. Firstly, two products of + 74 μm and-74 μm were obtained by classifying. A combined flowsheet of grinding- spiral chute-shaking table was used to treat the ore at a size of +74μm. A shaking table concentrate containing 6.03% Sb with a recovery of 56.90% was obtained. A flow membrane concentrator was used to treat the ore at a size of -74μm. A concentrate containing 4.87% Sb was obtained and the recovery of Sb was 26.12%. Based on the results of mineralogical research and gravity separation tests, it will provide a reference for the development of an antimony ore in Guizhou province.
