| Abstract: |
| The composition of a lithium ore in Africa is complex, with a variety of lithium minerals, mainly spodumene, followed by petalite, as well as trace amounts of cookeite, eucryptite, and trilithionite. The ore characteristics of each lithium mineral are different, and the recovery methods used are also different. This test only discusses the research results of recovering spodumene by flotation method. The research results of mineral processing experiments show that after pulp conditioning by sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate, calcium chloride can be used to activate spodumene minerals, and a combination of oxidized paraffin wax soap, sulfonated soap, and diesel oil can be used as spodumene collectors. Under the condition of not desliming, the recovery of spodumene can be achieved through "one roughing, one scavenging, and three cleaning" processes. The closed-circuit test can obtain spodumene concentrate with a Li2O grade of 5.08% and a Li2O recovery rate of 62.03%, providing technical support for the recovery of spodumene resources in the next step of the mine. |
