Abstract:
The composition of low-grade phosphate rock (20.00%) in Jinning Yunnan province is complex, which is difficult to be upgraded. The useful mineral in the ore is apatite, and the main gangue minerals are dolomite, quartz and other silicate minerals. In order to upgrade phosphate rock, the ZP collector (50% oleic acid, 30% linoleic acid and 20% linolenic acid) was prepared for the flotation of phosphate. In this work, the grinding fineness, the dosage of depressant and collector that has been optimized. The closed flotation circuit was composed of one rougher, three cleaners, and three scavenger flotation stages. Finally, the yield of concentrate was 59.23% P2O5. While the P2O5grade and recovery reached 28.36%and 80.16%. The contact angle measurements results showed that ZP is superior to oleic acid in hydrophobic effect of dolomite. The contact angle of dolomite could reach 74.62 degree when the dosage of ZP was 200 mg/L. The results of colloidal particle size analysis show that ZP collector has higher solubility than oleic acid and can improve flotation efficiency.
