Abstract:
      The main valuable metal elements in a fine-grained copper-molybdenum sulfide mixed concentrate in Yunnan are copper and molybdenum. The primary minerals in the ore are chalcopyrite and molybdenite,rite, chalcocite, fahlerite, bornite, and other impurities. The gangue minerals mainly consist of quartz and mica. Copper and molybdenum minerals exhibit a fine distribution granularity and complex symbiosis withue minerals. Considering the challenging separation of the its poor separation index, an efficient separation technology for fine copper-molybdenum mixed concentrate was developed based on process mineralogy research. This involved studying the control of the separation interface for copper-molybdenum mixed concentrate using a chalchalite consumption. Under conditions where the copper grade is 19.939% and molybdenum grade is 0.424%, a flotation process "suppressing copper and floating molybdenum" was adopted: one coarse stage followed by four fine stages and one sweep stage. This resulted in obtaining a molybdenum concentrate with a grade of 45.23%, containing 1. achieving an 89.61% recovery rate for molybdenum; concentrate with 0.045% molybdenum content, containing.23% copper, achieving a high recovery rate of 99.95%. These results demonstrate good separation indexes were achieved while efficiently separating fine-grained copper-molybdenum sulfide mixed concentrates were realized through this approach which also provides technical support for on-site process optimization.
