Abstract:
Impurity removal is one of the main tasks in pyrometallurgical copper smelting process. As a typical variable impurity element, arsenic has been widely concerned, and corresponding measures have been taken to efficiently remove arsenic in actual production. Aiming at the three main processes of matte smelting, matte blowing and crude copper refining, this paper systematically describes the occurrence state, removal principle and method of arsenic in each process of oxygen enriched smelting, summarizes the migration and transformation path of arsenic under the condition of high temperature oxidation, and discusses the application of arsenic removal technology. Combined with the current development trend of copper pyrosmelting, the difficulties of arsenic removal in modern intensive smelting are analyzed, and the prospect of intensive arsenic removal technology is presented.
