| Abstract: |
| In this paper, an electrochemical continuous purification process for the separation of chloride ions from zinc electrowinning electrolyte is presented, and the optimum process conditions are investigated. The results show that the higher separation efficiency and lower energy consumption can be obtained when the hydraulic residence time of the electrolyte is 5.6 minutes and the electric field intensity is 100V/m in the home-made apparatus. The separation ratio reaches 12.39, and the purification power consumption during the process is 0.003519kW.h/m3, with a chloride ion migration efficiency of 36.40mg/J. The mass concentration of chloride ions in the purified solution is less than 100mg/L, which meets the requirement of chloride ion content in zinc electrowinning electrolyte of industrial production. The method has high purification depth and stability under the industrial conditions, meets the requirement of continuous production in zinc hydrometallurgy, and provides a new process for the zinc hydrometallurgy dechlorination. |
