| Abstract: |
| In order to solve the problem of high consumption and high cost of zinc powder in the traditional impurity removal method, the purification of copper, cadmium, nickel and cobalt from zinc sulfate solution (containing 30-60mg/L cadmium, 300-400 mg/L cobalt, and 60-100 mg/L nickel) was achieved by using sodium dimethyl dithiocarbamate. The optimized impurity removal conditions are shown as follows: the dosage of sodium dimethyl dithiocarbamate was 1.5 times the theoretical amount, the dosage of sodium nitrite was 1 times the theoretical amount, the reaction time was 1 h, and the reaction temperature was 75-85℃. The slag content was 30 kg/m3-liquid. The zinc and cobalt content in slag was about 8% and cadmium and nickel content was about 1.5%, the loss percent of zinc was 0.02%. The removal efficiency was 99.11% for copper, 99.98% for cadmium, 99.99% for cobalt and 98.94% for nickel. The synchronous removal of copper, cobalt, nickel and cobalt can be achieved. The impurity removal process has no adverse effect on the subsequent electrodeposition, which can ensure the continuous and stable operation of production. |
