Abstract:
As an important material to collect current and support active substances for lithium-ion batteries, current collector plays an important role in the development of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Compared with traditional copper foil, composite copper foil is a new type of negative collector. The unique "Cu-polymer-Cu" sandwich structure can significantly reduce the weight of the collector and increase the energy density of the battery. At the same time, the insulated and flexible polymer interlayer can block the transverse migration of electrons, alleviate the expansion stress caused by the negative lithium insertion during the charging process. Therefore, it will improve the safety and cycle performance of the battery. The types of intermediate layers of composite copper foil are introduced, the advantages of composite copper foil as a negative collector are reviewed, and the typical preparation methods of composite copper foil, such as magnetron sputtering, vacuum evaporation, electroless plating and water electroplating, are summarized.
