Abstract:
This article analyzes the carbon emission characteristics of the lead industry and the development of smelting technologies in the context of global climate change. Faced with the traditional lead smelting processes of high energy consumption and high emissions, China"s lead industry actively responds to the national Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality goal by introducing advanced smelting processes such as the Kivcet method and oxygen bottom-blowing lead smelting method, as well as revolutionary technologies such as direct reduction of liquid high lead slag, those significantly improve energy conservation and carbon emission reduction. At the same time, for regenerated lead, pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes are simultaneously developing. Among them, the research and development of hydrometallurgical short-process regeneration technology provides a new way for the recycling of wasted lead resources. In addition, the application of intelligent and digital technologies for lead smelting is increasing, further promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of the lead industry. This article also summarizes the active exploration and significant achievements of China"s lead industry in low-carbon transformation, emphasizing its important role in the sustainable development of the global lead industry.
