| Abstract: |
| In order to comprehensively recover valuable rubidium and cesium from the crystallization of caesium alum containing rubidium as a by-product of lithium extraction from ledgemica, a new process for removing potassium and aluminum impurities by leaching and alkali dissolution was proposed. The effects of liquid solid ratio, leaching temperature, leaching time and number of leaching stages on the recovery rate of rubidium and cesium and the removal rate of potassium were investigated. The results showed that: Under the conditions of 2:1 liquid-solid ratio, 90℃ leaching temperature and 60min leaching time, the recoveries of rubidium and cesium were 98.80% and 98.72%, respectively, and the removal rates of potassium were 68.83%. The effects of solution-solid ratio, solution-time and sodium hydroxide dosage on
the recovery rate of rubidium and cesium and the removal rate of aluminum were investigated. The results showed that: The aluminum carried by the alum can be removed by dissolving at room temperature for 120min under the condition of liquid to solid ratio 14:1 and sodium hydroxide dosage 20% (pH=4.7~5.0). The recoveries of rubidium and cesium are > 99%, and the removal rate of aluminum is > 99%. After removing impurities potassium and aluminum, rubidium and cesium extraction separation will not emulsification phenomenon due to aluminum hydroxide colloid, but also greatly reduce the influence of potassium on rubidium extraction, rubidium and cesium extraction index is good. |
