Abstract:
This article briefly describes the sources and characteristics of acidic wastewater, introduces the current main methods and advantages and disadvantages of manganese removal, and elaborates on the mechanism of HDS process and chemical oxidation technology for manganese removal. The use of HDS process+chemical oxidation technology to treat high concentration manganese containing acidic wastewater is feasible, stable, and cost-effective.On the basis of the original HDS process, the cost of adding chemical oxidation technology to remove manganese from wastewater is about 3.39 yuan/m3,which can achieve continuous and stable discharge of manganese from external drainage to reach the emission limit of 2.0mg/L specified in the Comprehensive Wastewater Discharge Standard (GB 8978-1996).The average manganese ion concentration in the effluent is about 0.57mg/L,and the total manganese removal rate is about 99.37%.The sludge generated from wastewater treatment can also be used as a substrate for ecological restoration. This combination technology has strong applicability and is more environmentally friendly, providing reference for the deep treatment of manganese containing acidic wastewater in the non-ferrous industry.
